Close Authority: Who Can Close a Token Account

By default only the owner of a token account can close it. The owner can also assign a separate close authority.
When a close authority is set
If another address is the close authority, that address must sign the close, and it can choose where the rent goes. Such accounts are skipped by RecycleTokens because your wallet alone cannot close them.
Checking an account
Explorers display the close authority field when it is set. If it shows an address you do not control, the account cannot be closed from your wallet.

Can the close authority take my tokens?
No. Closing requires a zero balance, so a close authority can only close an empty account.
